Australian born actress, presenter and model Tara Rushton embarked on a career in the spotlight from the age of 15 after being scouted in a Cleo Magazine model search in Sydney Australia.

Throughout her high school and university years, she worked as a top model shooting international and local campaigns for Ponds, Sunsilk, Toyota, Samsung, Oral B, Clean & Clear, Target and many other leading fashion and consumer brands.

With a passion for writing and presenting, Tara completed a Diploma in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Media and Communications in Sydney before leaving Australia to pursue a career as a model internationally – Living and working in New York, London, Germany, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and China.

Named as a finalist in the Guess Faces to Watch Model Search in 2007 Tara was Chosen from 75,000 applicants in over 60 countries, as the only Australian female finalist to go in the running to become the next face of Guess and compete for the title in Basel, Switzerland in April 2007.

Shifting focus from modeling towards her true passion; acting, Tara became an overnight online star, securing the role of Charlie, the fun-loving and fearless heroine, on the London based interactive series KateModern, which was a BAFTA nominated and Press Guild award winner for innovation in broadcasting in 2007/2008.

After the success in KateModern Tara was nominated for a Streamy Award in 2009 as Best Actress in a Web series drama by the International Academy of Web Television. This was the only non-US nomination and was nudged from the winner's podium by Rosario Dawson (Gemini Division).

From her previous base in London; she presented music show Push Play getting backstage access to the hottest bands on the European festival circuit and also played the kooky crush in the forthcoming BBC 3 series Barry Brown.

Tara guest starred as Merline, a doe-eyed but slightly unhinged stalker in the cheeky Australian comedy/drama series 'Forget the Rules' (Season 2) and also guest starred in the hit kids show 'The Shak'. Based in Australia in 2010, Tara utilized her presenting and writing skills to become the resident roving reporter for Unseen TV where she covered the hottest fashion, music and red carpet events across Australia.
